Summary Job Description: Job Title: Environmental Services Tech I (EVS I) Part Time (24-31.99 hours per week) - 2nd shift The primary goal of Environmental Services is to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. The Environmental Service Technician I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Requirements: - Ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. - Empties trash, cleans trash can as needed, relines can with clean liner. - Removes infectious waste and fills sharps containers as needed. - Damp dusts furniture, ledges, and fixtures with a germicidal agent. - Dry mops, wet mops floors and vacuums carpeting. - High dust vents, over bed lights and other items over shoulder height. - Operates sever...
