Job Summary The Supervisor Surface Maintenance is responsible for the day to day repair activities, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all mine equipment to insure the safe, economical and efficient operation of the machinery. Job Description: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Visibly support and champion Peabody’s Missions and Values - Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System - Plan, direct and lead the work of a crew or team - Supervise maintenance and repair personnel by providing technical counsel and advice to the maintenance workers, answer questions on methods or materials to be used, check to observe workmanship and conformance to safety regulations - Prepare and submit accurate and timely maintenance records - Under the direction of Maintenance Manager, implement short-term and long-term maintenance planning, scheduling and forecasting - Assist the Maintenance Manager in the periodic review of maintenance and repair reports - Provide input into analyzing costs for potential improvements - Assist in the monitoring and maintaining the proper flow of parts and inventory - Analyze failed components for failure reasons and then make change...
