Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform Ultrasound testing and treatment in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast pace and dynamic environment. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: 1. Ensures adherence to proper infection control, OSHA and safety standards. 2. Comply with established safety precautions at all times. 3. Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of patient care plans, patient assessments etc., as necessary. 4. Interview patients or family members as necessary. 5. Perform administrative requirements, as directed, such as completing necessary forms, reports, and data input, filing, and faxing. 6. Ensure safety and comfort of patients while going to and from Ultrasound Department and Radiology Department. 7. Coordinate US and radiology exams with other departments. 8. Perform Ultras...
