Part-Time Kennel Technician Animal Control Division FLSA: Non-Exempt: Pay: $15.00 per hour: JOB SUMMARY: Kennel Technicians are responsible for the daily care of all animals at Camden County Animal Control (CCAC). This position conducts proper cleaning and disinfecting of all rooms in accordance with Georgia Department of Agriculture guidelines and Camden County Animal Control standards to provide a healthy environment for the animals in our care. The Kennel Technician team provides our animals with love, compassion, daily exercise and enrichment and also facilitates animal adoptions, fostering and establishes rescue connections and networking. MAJOR DUTIES: - Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sanitize all cages, runs, and related areas on a daily basis. - Responsible for daily feeding and monitoring eating habits of all animals. - Observe animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease and discontent. - Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to Public Protection and Compliance Manager. - Utilize animal handling skills to provide a safe and friendly environment for the animals at CCAC. - Groom and provide gentle,...
