The El Segundo Control Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations of the refinery’s process control systems and technology. Member of the El Segundo Control Systems Engineering team. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: In this role, you’ll configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and program Distributed Control Systems (Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion), Safety Shutdown Systems (Schneider Triconex, Honeywell FSC), and various PLC applications, including providing related hardware support. You’ll partner closely with Operations to support the control room, and you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that improve unit optimization, process safety, and reliability. You’ll also keep procedures and system documentation current, bring technical and analytical insight to business planning and project development, help ensure systems and changes meet safety, reliability, and compliance requirements, and maintain system backups and contingency recovery procedures.
