Power the party from behind the scenes! Join our team as a Tech Assistant and help deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot the technology that brings the festival to life. This full-time, temporary position runs from April until late August 2026 , and will work primarily at our head office on Baker Street in beautiful Nelson, BC. Festival Site Work: The successful candidates will also be required to work on-site at the festival location near Salmo, BC for about 1 month in July. The Tech Assistant is a key operational member of the SMF Tech Department, supporting both the Tech Director and Tech Supervisor in the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all festival technology systems. This role is hands-on and dynamic - encompassing gear preparation, cable installations, network setup, troubleshooting, and assisting with live festival support. The Tech Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring that SMF’s technical infrastructure is delivered on time, functions reliably, and is documented accurately throughout the festival lifecycle.
