Prompter / A2 Operator - Weekend - Contract Location: New York: Business Area: News and Media: Ref #: 10050183 Description & Requirements: Bloomberg Media is looking for an individual with a proactive attitude who is focused, flexible, and proficient in several aspects of broadcast operations, and who can work collaboratively in a live control room and studio environment. This individual will be expected to provide coverage in prompter and A2 operator capacities to work collaboratively in control room and live studio environments. They will be required to work with on-air talent, engineering, and editorial teams, as well as their global counterparts to ensure a quality visual production daily. A teleprompter operator uses software in the control room to scroll through scripted material. The candidate must be able to match the speed of the scrolling text to the speaking of the presenter and adjust to any improvisation of the scripts. The candidate must be able to read the text and understand the prompting cues within the scripts, as well as setup and operate the teleprompter as well as communicate issues to management and engineering teams.
