Bus Driver (Part-time)

Job description

Working Hours/Days Part-time, Monday-Friday (some weekends when needed). Must be flexible to drive with short notice. Overview: The driver is responsible for safely transporting employees and customers to and from meetings and events throughout the Altorfer territory which includes the entire state of Illinois, southeastern Iowa, northern Missouri and two counties in Indiana. Some trips may require travel outside of the Altorfer territory. Drivers will need to be available for weekday trips and some weekend trips. Basic Duties: - Drive vehicles over specified routes or to specified destinations according to time schedules, complying with traffic regulations to ensure that passengers have a smooth and safe ride. - Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays. Report delays or accidents. - Collect tickets or cash fares from passengers checking identification when required. - Assist all passengers, such as elderly or disabled individuals, on and off the bus, ensure they are seated properly, help carry baggage, and answer questions about bus schedules or routes. - Load and unload baggage in baggage compartments when needed. - Passenger safety: Account for all passeng...
