DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Investigate, evaluate and negotiate complex automobile claims including non-injury, serious injury claims, fatality losses, UMBI exposures, and out of state losses. - Determine proper policy coverages, investigate, evaluate, negotiate and equitably settle all assigned casualty claims in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices. - Establish and authorize reserve and claim payments and monitor reserves through the life of the file. - The employee will be expected to handle numerous claims and to maintain a healthy diary system. - Settlement negotiations with claimants, policy holders, and other parties are crucial to the position. - Ability to multitask and address unexpected situations while showing the flexibility to do so. - Maintain high standards of professional conduct while delivering superior customer service. - The employee may assist other key Claims units in times of - Closely work with in house litigation unit as well as outside defense counsel. - Expected to meet with multiple members of management at once to discuss and advise on claim actions in both written and verbal format. - Continue job development through tra...
