Senior Platform Engineer (Edge)

Job description

Location: London, the UK - Hybrid (3 days from the office) The Team: The Edge team within Foundations underpins the performance, reliability and security of our north/south traffic at the boundary between our global systems and the outside world. The team’s scope includes global traffic routing, content delivery networks, proxies, load-balancing, DNS/routing, network security patterns (WAFs, rate limiting, DDoS mitigation), and internet observability at global scale. You’ll work closely with Product Engineering, Security, SRE and senior engineers across Deliveroo to ensure our traffic path is fast, resilient and secure. The Role: As a Senior Engineer on Edge, you are a knowledgeable and experienced individual contributor whose work will drive team-level goals and metrics. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end projects and occasionally lead work that benefits other teams. What you’ll do: Technical Delivery: Deliver end-to-end projects within the Edge domain: design, implement, test and operate systems that handle production traffic reliably and at low latency.
