Summary of Performance Expectations: Helps to direct and coordinate patient’s continuum of breast cancer care in navigating cancer services from pre- diagnosis to treatment. This responsibility includes but not limited to patient education and support, appointments for follow up care with appropriate physicians, referrals to necessary services/resources. Meets with patient’s pre biopsy and/or post biopsy. Participate in the planning, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for adhering to CVMC policies and procedures; abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws; and practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act. Education and Credentials: Graduate of accredited nursing program. Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State. BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date. Work Experience: Two years of previous nursing experience.
