Job description

Position Summary: The Cloud FinOps Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing frameworks, processes, and tools that optimize cloud financial management, ensuring that cloud resources deliver maximum business value for their cost. The role bridges the gap between finance, operations, and engineering, embedding financial accountability into cloud operations through automation, data-driven insights, and governance. This position proactively identifies and resolves discrepancies or issues related to cloud expenses and cost optimization. Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Five (5) years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks and/or best practices. Five (5) years of experience in IT infrastructure and infrastructure operations. Three (3) years of experience in Azure cloud financial management, cost optimization, billing models and reporting tools. FinOps Certified Practitioner, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Preferred: Prior experience within a healthcare organization IT department.
