Changing Lives. ® The ATC operates the high-volume patient admit and transfer center, facilitating patient access to UI Health Care inpatient services through telephone and electronic based communication. Serving as a contact center for internal providers as well as external referring providers while serving over 20 departments across University of Iowa Health Care. Our Transfer Center team focus is triage of referring facility transfer requests and facilitates inpatient access through all inter-facility avenues including admissions across facilities, from the emergency department and from ambulatory areas.
