Department: Orientation Salary: $8.25 per hour (Max 26 hours per week) Position Summary: The University Student Assistant Employee is responsible for First and Second Year Experience Office operations and is responsible for assisting with special events within the Student Success Center including, but not limited to: Gamecock Orientation, Freshman Convocation, Preview Day, Admitted Student Day, etc. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities: - Assist with office work including reviewing reports, printing information, creating packets for students, etc. - Assisting with working big events like Gamecock Orientation sessions and Freshman Convocation. - Work tabling events for the First & Second Year Experience Office. - Assist students and family members with checking in at Gamecock Orientation/other events with a positive and friendly demeanor. - Able and willing to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and the general public. - Communicate with the First & Second Year Experience Office staff, co-workers, campus dir...
