Office of Research & Statistics Annual Salary Range: $94,819 - $126,422 FLSA Exempt / Union Represented: This position allows for up to four days of remote work per week About the Office: The Office of Research and Statistics (ORS) is the State Bar's data and research hub. We produce the research and analytics that guide policy, planning, and statewide reporting on California's legal profession. Our work spans operational dashboards, statutorily required reports, and in-depth studies on topics like access to justice, equity in discipline, and diversity in the profession. The Ideal Candidate: ORS seeks a Program Analyst —a curious, flexible researcher and analyst—for our San Francisco office, with up to four remote days per week. The role centers on conducting data analysis and research to support the State Bar's regulatory, discipline, admissions, and other core functions, as well as building dashboards and reports that inform day-to-day operations and Board-level decisions. Required skills include proficiency in at least one analytical coding language (Stata, Python, or R) and working familiarity with SQL.
