Job DetailsJob Location: Knoxville, IA 50138Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: Day (1st)Job Title: Group Leader Department: Production: Reports to: Area Manager: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt: SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Area Manager, this position is responsible for leading people in the movement of materials through their designated areas. Responsible for instructing employees in safety, quality, productivity and efficiency standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety: Work in a safe manner at all times by following all safety guidelines. Ensure safe work practices in the area by all personnel: welders, painters, assemblers, material handlers, inventory coordinators, and visitors. Train employees on the proper safety practices and processes of proper PPE usage, equipment usage, and good housekeeping and organization. Quality: Research equipment failure, design deviations, incorrectly made parts, and resolve problems to complete the process in a timely manner.
