The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching a range of middle school language arts courses, with a particular focus on developing and delivering an engaging, hands-on language arts curriculum for students that is focused on developing strong skills, habits, and personal identities in reading and writing. This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting to the Head of Middle School. Responsibilities include teaching five classes, serving as an advisor, and contributing to department initiatives. All Middle School faculty participate as chaperones for a week-long Discovery Days experiential trip with students in the spring. Additional opportunities to supervise co-curricular activities may be available based on interest and school needs.
