Job Summary The Maintenance Student Assistant performs general repairs in apartments, suites in student housing located in South Village, North Lake Village and West Lake Village. Spaces include residence halls, apartments, laundry facilities, community centers, warehouse/central energy plant, pump house and administrative offices. Job Description: Typical duties include but not limited to: - Assists in preparing our housing facility for the next incoming and returning group of students. - Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, university policy and accepted safe work practices. - Assists with maintenance projects such as common cleanup, painting, moving furniture, inventory, fire and smoke alarm checks, inspections, or other projects as assigned. - Cleans and maintains all work areas, tools, and equipment. - Completes routine preventative maintenance such as replacing filters, checking fluid levels, inspecting belts, lubricating bearings, or other preventative maintenance as assigned. - Assists with repairs to drywall, ceilings, windows, doors, and door hardware.
