Job Description The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for a Special Officer in its Investigation Bureau. In this position, under supervision the Special Officer is responsible for providing physical security, safety, and maintenance of order in the office. This position is similar to that of a peace officer which requires you to pass a mandatory background check to carry a firearm and possess a valid New York State Peace Officer certification.
