Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar that will provide electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project. Location: Must be open to any location in the continental United States. Travel: This is a 100% travel position; locations may vary based on the project. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project. When your project is complete you will be assigned to another project. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical lead and support for electrical portions of work projects Determine best layout of collection systems considering constraints (overhead/underground, roads/cross country, junction box locations) Review manufacturer’s data for electrical scope (wiring requirements, electrical characteristics, grounding, power factor, lightning protection, generator outputs) Verify construction aligns with electrical engineering design drawings, including preparatory meetings and QA/QC Lead electrical engineering design and equipment procurement through submittals, transmittals, and RFIs Provide technical expertise to all parties involved Ensure subcontractors understand project scope during bidding and provide electrical enginee...
