GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking an entry-level engineer to work out of our Canton, OH office within our Transportation Business Unit. The successful candidate will be eligible for a sign-on bonus and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and related work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's global environment. Job Duties: - Design bridges and other transportation structures such as overhead sign structures or retaining walls while working closely with a professional engineer. Typical duties include engineering designs and analyses to size structure components and connections; geometric layout of structures; development of bid package documents including quantity and cost estimates; construction plan development; and assembling of construction specifications. - Participate in technical and feasibility studies by developing an understanding of appropriate specifications, standards, and design criteria. - Serve as a field inspector on NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) inspection teams in Ohio and neighboring states. - Obtain and maint...
