HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT: RN / Registered Nurse – Vascular Access Team Our team is searching for a dynamic Registered Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team performing patient care on our Vascular Access Team. The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care. Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment. The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process. Also provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team. As a Vascular Access Specialist, RN you are responsible for the following: The VAT, as part of the hospital healthcare team is responsible for specified vascular access device (VAD) procedures, central venous access device (CVAD) dressing changes, and CVAD surveillance throughout the organization and serve as consultants for specialty care units. Vascular access device (VAD) placements include difficult peripheral intravenous (PIV) starts/ restarts, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), and midline catheters (MLC).
