We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated policy professional to join the Energy Transition and Enabling Policy (ETEP) team. The ETEP team has a unique function within the Climate Change and Strategy Division, proactively identifying policy gaps and issues and developing strategic recommendations to support the timely delivery of critical renewable energy infrastructure and improved outcomes for impacted communities. The team leads a broad range of diverse workstreams, providing strategic advice on emerging system risks and whole-of-government issues (including the impacts of data centres on the grid), strengthening social licence and maximising benefits for regional NSW and host communities, and working across agencies and jurisdictions to align national reforms with NSW priorities. The TEP team is seeking someone with technical energy market or power systems expertise, engineering, or planning reform experience, preferably in the energy, infrastructure or logistics sectors.
