Department: UHC: PrevMed Ctr Health Promotion Job Summary: The Coordinator-Patient Care RN assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the specialty clinics' patient population on an ongoing basis. Integrates RN nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) and management (planning, organizing, directing and controlling) to provide services and continuity of care for the patient. Utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics in order to perform duties within the RN Scope of Practice. Has authority and accountability for coordinating pre-admission and post hospital care. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. Experience in clinical research preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
