POSITION DURATION: Six-month contract role with potential to extend or convert to FTE based on performance and business needs POSITION SUMMARY: The Lab Associate supports R&D labs by ordering, receiving, and storing reagents and materials. Upkeeps laboratory consumables and reagents inventory. Fulfills various requests by research staff related to laboratory workflows and anticipate laboratory needs. QUALIFICATIONS: - Perform routine housekeeping to ensure the laboratory area is neat, clean, and organized - Order, receive, and store supplies, reagents and materials and verify receipt of items ordered - Prepare, aliquot and/or stock reagents - Ensure laboratory follows environmental, health and safety (EHS) and good laboratory practices (GLP) guidelines - Monitor satellite waste streams. Laboratory waste streams include biohazardous materials and hazardous chemical waste.
