Position Title: Learning Specialist Department/School: Accommodations & Accessibility Salary/Pay Rate: $46,764.90 Job Summary: The Office of Accommodations and Accessibility invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Learning Specialist to provide individualized, comprehensive, academic support to students enrolled in the Learning Support Program. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Higher Education Administration or related field. - 1-3 years of related experience. - Computer competence and excellent time management skills required. Essential Functions: - Teach time management and organizational skills, as well as study skills and test-taking strategies. Provide direct assistance with all aspects of the writing process. Assist students with their transition to college and development of self-advocacy skills. - Review student documentation and conduct intake with student to evaluate the learning needs and to design and implement appropriate accommodations and services to support the student academically, socially and emotionally. - Provide academic advisement assisting with course selection, and make referrals to academic advisors re...
