This is a Stanford Health Care job. A Brief Overview: This position's scope of responsibilities includes SHC and LPCH. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting Category Management and Value Based Selection (VBS). Areas of responsibility include medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and purchased services with a focus on "best value" and Total Cost of Ownership. This position works within the Non-Labor Spend (NLS) reduction and VBS frameworks to facilitate the achievements of the objectives of Category Management with the goal of attaining supplies and services that offer an optimal balance of quality, service, availability and value. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the negotiation, standardization, consolidation and contract administration for all departments at SHC and LPCH. Responsible for negotiating and managing contracts for the purchasing of medical products, equipment and related-services which include a market review, benchmarking and selection of suppliers.
