Department: 60907 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Lab: Anatomic Pathology Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM: Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 Job Summary: The Histology Aide prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists under the direct supervision of a pathologist or histology technologist. This individual is responsible for frozen sections, paraffin mounts, cytologic preparations and stains related to each function. The Histology Technician determines if surgical and cytology specimens are adequate and requests additional specimens if necessary. Performs routine maintenance on instruments as directed. Major Responsibilities: Performs quality work. Displays a sense of cooperation in daily work relationships. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
