Organisation: Leicestershire County Council Work Location: County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA Salary: £39,939 - £42,699 per annum + 10% of on top of grade for Market Premia (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending) Working Hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent: Closing Date: 08th June 2026: Interview Date(s): W/C 29th June- Date TBC An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Flood Risk Management team as an Assistant Engineer. This role will involve assisting the Flood Risk Manager in delivering the Council's statutory functions as a Lead Local Flood Authority and to develop and promote best practice. This includes assisting in delivering the actions of Leicestershire's Local Flood Risk Management Strategy and deputising and/or assisting the Senior Engineer when required in representing the Council at meetings as appropriate etc. About the Role: This role will involve being a key part of the Flood Risk Management team delivering the remit of the Lead local Flood Authority.
