Replacing graduating students. Summary Barry University School of Law seeks a Research Assistant for Professor Haley Mendola. This is a temporary, part-time position that may work up to 10 hours per week/40 hours per semester. The Research Assistant will assist Professor Mendola by researching topics assigned as well as completing various writing assignments. Essential Duties: Assist professor in scholarly work the professor deems appropriate by: Researching topics assigned using Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw and any other appropriate information. Completing various writing assignments as assigned. Completing additional research requests as assigned. Performing edits and citing checks on the professor's articles. Qualifications/Requirements: Must be a Barry University School of Law student who has completed the first year of Law School in good academic standing. Excellent analytical and research skills required. Self-motivated and meets deadlines. Must have specialized knowledge of Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw information systems.
