Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: MercyOne Newton Medical Center: Ideal for new grad needing fellowship time and support of a mentor! Full-Time Day Shift (80 hours biweekly) Provides evaluation consultation, and treatment of patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing deficits. Provides on-going speech/language therapy to patients of diverse ages and their families. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. - Performs evaluations and treatments to a diverse population in a variety of settings and completes supporting documentation according to hospital policy (based on assignment). - Appropriately establishes and reviews: plan of care; goals and priorities with team (including patient/family); treatment in response to changing patient needs; educational needs of patient/caregivers; discharge plan/follow-up care needs. - Complies with department, hospital, and regulatory agency guidelines with respect to ethics, legal issues and supervisory relationships.
