Design Systems Engineer – Transmissions

Job description

The Chief Engineering team is the fully accountable single point technical contact for transmission and driveline products. This includes all aspects of product delivery for current production, new product development, or advanced projects. (the “ what ” and the “ when ”.) The Design Systems Engineer (DSE) reports to the Chief Engineer and acts as the primary interface between the CE group and PRC. The DSE is primarily responsible for managing System, interfaces and interactions between components / subsystems of the transmission and driveline system. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Transmission and driveline hardware system responsible (integration and system balancing of all components) - Interfacing with individual COEs - Manufacturing - Suppliers - Development Validation Center - Schedules hardware system design reviews across PRC and reviews DRE design proposals as required - Organizes reviews with Virtual Analysis / CAE team and ensures Virtual DVP / Scorecard is completed prior to any prototype hardware orders - Manages Transmission and driveline system and interface DFMEA / DRBFM (team) reviews to ensure complete transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls l...
