CE Instructor - Early Years Music Instructor (Group classes, Ages 0-7)

Harper College Community Music and Arts Center seeks an Early Years Music Instructor to lead engaging group classes for children ages 0-7. This position starts in the Fall 2026 semester (contingent on enrollment) and involves evening/weekend hours plus attendance at student recitals and performances. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work is primarily indoors and sedentary. Equipment and Tools Used: Utilizes standard office equipment to perform the duties of the job. Supervision: Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of the Community Music and Arts Center. Teach interactive group music classes focused on early childhood development (ages 0-7), incorporating historical instruments, songs, and activities from early music traditions. Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, assessments, and curricula that foster musicality, motor skills, language, and social growth. Maintain a consistent teaching schedule and communicate proactively with parents/guardians. Integrate technology (e.g., apps, recordings) to enhance instruction.
