Job description

Description Performs medical assisting functions to support the provision of care within the physician department. Interacts with patients, families, and staff members to maximize successful patient outcomes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting including practical experience in patient care, administrative tasks, and laboratory procedures. - Possess a valid certification as a Certified Medical Assistant. - Comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices, as well as excellent teaching skills. Requirements: Certified Medical Assistant Instructors are responsible for training students in all aspects of medical assisting, using a combination of classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical practice. Their duties and responsibilities include: Clinical: Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds independently. Frequently pushes/pulls 100 pounds using mechanical and other assistive devices. Walks, stands, kneels, bends most of the time. Exhibits fine motor skills and manual dexterity necessary to perform the essential job functions of the position. Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.
