POSITION OVERVIEW: The Staff/Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting will be primarily responsible for applying accounting principles and policies to unique or complex transactions as well as interpreting new accounting and financial reporting pronouncements impacting Cheniere Energy, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, the “entities”). RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Act as a subject matter expert, working with the business and others in the accounting organization to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Prepare memoranda documenting the entities’ application of accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S. to specific transactions or events, which may include, but are not limited to assessments regarding revenue recognition, derivatives, nonmonetary transactions and impairment. Assess contracts for potential leases and determine the accounting for initial recognition of leases and any subsequent changes, if applicable.
