BASIS Ed is seeking an experienced special educator and administrator to serve as the BASIS Ed Texas Regional Director of Exceptional Student Services (ESS)- Programming. Position Summary: The Director of ESS is responsible for overseeing the compliant implementation of programs to support students eligible for special education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or related aids and services under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act within BASIS Charter Schools in Texas. Under the supervision of the Director of the Vice President of Exceptional Student Services, the Director of ESS will work with Central Office partners, including School Management and Finance and Accounting to support school leaders who are responsible for managing special programs within their schools. The Director of ESS will provide technical assistance and training to school leaders to maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and to implement oversight agency guidance, where appropriate.
