Job Duties: - Under broad direction, a Geoscientist II applies advanced knowledge gained via a STEM degree and internal training to perform detailed analyses of highly-specialized sensor data from hydrocarbon reservoirs. - The sensor data analyzed typically includes acoustic, nuclear spectroscopy, and electromagnetic measurements. - The analyses are performed using highly specialized scientific methods in order to translate the measured data into hydrocarbon reservoir rock and fluid properties. - The Consultant II uses their own discretion in selecting the parameters used in the analyses and to determine if there are quality issues with the sensor data. - They compile the resulting analyses and their findings in a report that is provided to oil and gas company customers. - Their findings include descriptions o...
