[auto-populates in Workday] The Department of Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Akron (https://www.uakron.edu/ccj) invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position starting in August 2026. Required Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Public Policy, or a field relevant to crime analysis; OR a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution. - 2 years of demonstrated professional experience in criminal law or crime/criminal intelligence analysis - Evidence of effective teaching or potential for teaching excellence. Preferred Qualifications: The mission of the Department of Criminal Justice Studies is to enhance the public good through community engagement and action research.
