Job Description As a Process Engineering Co-op, you will work with experts in the manufacturing process from raw material to finished product. The position will work with multiple departments and processes to drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and apply Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and Six Sigma techniques, work on cross-functional teams, learn a multitude of manufacturing processes, and expand one’s engineering knowledge in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: - Process Improvements: identification, evaluation, and justification - Process development, standardization, optimization, and innovation - Learn and apply key quality tools including Capability Analysis, Gage R+R, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) - Standard work and visual aid development - Line balancing and time studies - Plant simulation and layout optimization - Material flow and presentation - Data manipulation and collection - Production metrics tracking - Value Stream optimization - Lead Time and cost reductions - 5S/Ergonomic/Safety/Team participation - CAD Modeling and drafting (AutoCAD & Solid Edge) - Six Sigma Projects, Root Cause Analysis,...
