City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health Plans is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote in VA! Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours) Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F Location: This is a remote position in VA with quarterly travel to VA Beach office for priority meetings Job responsibilities: Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation request Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius Issuing administrative denials for services related with providers Will process up to 30 authorizations per day Will make 8 to 30 calls/day to members, providers, and transportation vendor. Scheduling is done through calls and Modivcare app Education: HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED Certification/Licensure: None required: Experience: Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED: Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred: Government Program or Commercial experience preferred Sentara Health Plans provid...
