CORE JOB SUMMARY: The Supervisor, Respiratory Therapy supervises and participates in the delivery of respiratory therapy services at the University of Miami hospitals. The Supervisor, Respiratory Therapy ensures the delivery of the highest quality of care by staff members, schedules work assignments, coordinates requests for respiratory therapy services, and recommends new equipment and equipment modifications within the department. The incumbent performs the duties of a respiratory therapist. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews work of staff involved in the delivery of respiratory therapy. 2. Conducts daily rounds/visual inspections to improve delivery of service. 3. Trains and assesses the competency of respiratory therapists, students, and assistants. 4.
