Summary Job Description: Charge RN Part-Time I First Shift: Emergency Department I Lexington, KY: An Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness. Description: Requirements: Benefits : - Manages shift operations for department/unit, adjusting staff assignments as acuity, census, staffing and priorities change, - Assists in identifying staff to supplement schedule, including call-in coverage. Communicates all staffing schedule changes to Clinical House Supervisor and/or Staffing Office. - Coordinates meal and break time for all assigned staff. - Delegates responsibilities within scope of practice and provides guidance to co-workers in assessment, clinical skills, and problem solving and networks with preceptors of new staff to facilitate orientation. - Collaborates with all disciplines and departments to resolve issues affecting patient flow and throughput. - Rounds with a purpose utilizing key questions to obtain feedback from patients and families. - Resolve any issues at point of care. - Exemplifies excellent interpersonal communication both verbal and written. - Promotes open communica...
