For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation's largest youth employment program, connecting NYC youth between the ages of 16 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experience each summer. Through SYEP, participants can explore different interests and career pathways; develop productive workplace habits, engage in learning experiences that strengthen their social, civic, and leadership skills. STATEMENT OF THE JOB: Under the supervision of the Unit manager, the Site Monitor responsibilities are to provide supervision to the youth, conduct weekly group lessons, conduct orientation, create lesson plans, maintain program documentation, and manage the timesheet process.
