Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a Architectural Designer I to work in the Downers Grove, IL Design Center. The ideal candidate will be familiar with building codes and have some experience working in the industrial sector of architecture. - Perform a variety of routine architectural assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned phases of a project. - Participate in analyses required to formulate and determine design criteria for buildings, structures, systems, materials and components. - Assist in the preparation of architectural, engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bills of material, building code reviews and cost estimates. - Participate in studies of construction techniques and economic feasibility studies, such as the provision of “value engineering”. - Review client requests for architectural change orders and recommend action to supervisor. Assess vendor submittals and field information requests. - Effectively interfacing with individuals or groups representing various backgrounds, disciplines and levels of experience. - Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture or equivalent p...
