POSITION SUMMARY: The Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for maintaining cutting tool inventory across two company locations. This role requires prior machining experience and a strong understanding of cutting tools used in CNC and manual machining environments. The ideal candidate will implement and manage a Min-Max inventory system, ensure tool availability to support production, and maintain accurate inventory records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordinate daily operations of the tool crib at two locations - Maintain accurate inventory levels of cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, gages, and related consumables - Develop, implement, and maintain a Min-Max inventory system to ensure optimal stock levels - Monitor tool usage trends and adjust inventory levels accordingly - Issue, receive, and track tools and supplies to production personnel - Coordinate tool transfers between locations as needed - Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories - Coordinate with purchasing to reorder tools and negotiate with vendors - Research and recommend new tooling solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cost - Support machinists with tooling selection and tr...
