About the role selectability is seeking a passionate and motivated peer support worker to join the team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in promoting wellbeing and recovery through shared lived experience of mental health challenges - with a unique focus on bikes and bike maintenance as a tool for connection, empowerment, and skill-building. Whether it’s fixing a flat tyre or tuning up a chain, you’ll help others build confidence and resilience through hands-on support and shared journeys. The Peer Support Worker role is a part-time position (minimum of 30 hours per fortnight) on a fixed term contract until 20 November 2026 based in Bowen. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: - supporting individuals through shared lived experience of mental health challenges - confidently ride a bike as part of group and individual wellbeing activities - performing basic bike maintenance, including safety checks, repairs, and tune-ups - towing a bike trailer safely and confidently using a car for transport and logistics - planning and leading group bike rides that promote physical activity, social connection and recovery - encouraging participation in bike-related activities...
