Lead Nursery Person – Field Production Full Time Union Position Essential Qualifications: - High school diploma plus two-year certificate in horticulture or equivalent required. - Must have strong background and knowledge in field production practices including planting, pruning, irrigation, pest control, soils management, space planning, and etc. - Leadership skills required - Requires a valid Class D Minnesota driver’s license or equivalent. - Strong working knowledge of landscape plant materials commonly found in Minnesota landscapes preferred. - Must be accepted as insurable with Bachman’s Insurance carrier via semi-annual Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and compliance with Bachman’s Safe Driver Standards. - Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Duties: Benefits: - CDL driver’s License preferred. - MNLA Nursery Professional Certification preferred. - Three years of experience in a nursery or farm production setting including two years of nursery field production experience. - Two years of leadership role experience. - Must be able to operate a variety of nursery production equipment including farm tractor, skid loader, forklift, front-end loader, tree spade, semi-tractor/t...
