Five Star Kids Academy POSITION: SUMMER CAMP SCHOOL-AGE CARE COUNSELOR: SALARY: $16-$18/HOUR: STATUS: Hiring for Summer Camp ( 8 weeks of camp June 22- Aug 12) plus observation, training, with a hire date of June 1, 2026. HOURS: Monday-Friday: Multiple positions available: Straight Shifts: 7:30am-1:30pm, 10:45am-2:45pm, 11:30pm-4:30pm. Short or Split Shift 6:45-9:15am and/or 2:45-5:45pm LOCATION: Armed Services YMCA -Bayside Location. 5025 Shell Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455 ASSIGNMENT: The SUMMER CAMP SCHOOL-AGE CARE COUNSELOR will work closely with peers, under the direct supervision of the SAC Manager and the Child & Youth Programs Director to implement high-quality child care that meet the social-emotional needs of students, ages 5-12 years. Counselors provide a FUN, happy and safe learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal character development through interactive, engaging activities.
