What the role is all about: WinSport Summer Camps is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual for the position of Wilderness Coach. If you have a genuine interest in working with youth, developing young explorers, and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to apply. Candidates for this position should have experience working with children/youth in a coaching environment, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a guest success mindset. As Wilderness Coach, your primary role is to oversee and execute wilderness program operations. You will ensure campers, parents, Volunteers, and WinSport Team Members have exceptional experiences. You may accompany groups on their weekly trips to Kananaskis. These trips will be led by CPAWS and assisted by yourselves and instructors. This position requires strong leadership and coaching skills to effectively manage wilderness programming and ensure young adventurers develop our three lessons of wilderness preparedness: Backcountry, Crafts and Emergency skills.
