As a Utility Operator you are a rover and will be assisting as necessary in preparing and expanding Nomex blocks to meet specifications, trimming blocks, staging blocks for the saw, and assisting with packing orders for shipment. Currently there is an opening for a Utility in our Aramid division on 1st shift (6:30a - 2:30p. Monday - Friday) Aramid Utility Operator: Starting at $19.58 per hour on 1st Shift. Key Responsibilities: Startup/verify secondary equipment (dust collector) is operating. Check schedule to determine next order to process. Read work order instructions and process specifications. Use overhead crane to load/unload Aramid blocks from saw table. Trim sides of blocks using a vertical band saw. Change saw blades and guides using small hand tools. Measure blocks using tape measure. Stage blocks for saw operators. Inspect blocks and slices for quality issues. Select and trim packaging materials to required size using handheld saw or cutting machine. Pack or...
